What are some of the facilities on offer?

There is dedicated off road parking for a selection of cars, leading to a tree lined, fairy lit footpath and exclusive private access.

A few feature footpath to climb past the heart shaped pond, into the ‘Hobbit gate’, garden, orchard leading onto a secluded and shaded terraced grassed area, ideal for outdoor drinks or party games.

From here guests access the main function zone, capitalising on the majestic views. This area consists of a large flat section of artificial lawn ideal for any outdoor ceremony, which links directly into the marquee(s) of your choice.

The location and backdrop creates spectacular opportunities for fun and photos.

What time do we have access to the Marquee?

Unlike most venues Stables Wedding Farm will present the marquee to couples 3 full days prior to their big day to allow plenty of time to come along add their finishing touches, to make the space bespoke to them. Also, to rehearse and get excited about your big day. Be sure to assign your friends and family to help set up. We will of course also be on hand to help decorate the venue as you have planned.

What layout can we have for the wedding breakfast?

You have completely flexibility on your table plan. If you wish, you can have a long top table or alternatively you may want a round table as your top table – either is fine with us. We can accommodate almost any configuration. The panoramic views make for the most picturesque backdrop.

Be sure to take some time over your table plan as family politics always get in the way … you thought picking the dress was hard, just wait until you do your table plan.

If you are looking for a more informal day, you do not need to have a sit- down meal and a full wedding breakfast set up. You may just want a couple of tables set up but no need for a table plan.

Can we decorate the venue to our taste?

Whatever quirky ideas you have in mind we will make sure these become a reality on the day. You can decorate the venue however you wish however please be aware some decorations are fixed around the venue such as fairly lights and lanterns. Although… who doesn’t love fairy lights for a wedding?

Pinterest is a great way to gather new ideas and once you start a Pinterest board… it’s never ending!

Also look at the popular wedding website ‘Hitched’ this also has some great ideas from table plans to centre pieces to flowers to guest books.

Can we bring pets?

Yes please, large or small, we try to accommodate all !!!!

Can we have real candles?

Due to the fire risk LED candles are preferred.

Alcohol and music

The Stables Wedding Farm is fully licensed for music and to serve all alcohol beverages.

Can we have live music?

We do allow live music in the venue and this can either be booked via ourselves or you can choose to arrange this. Alternatively, for music during the meal, this can be a string quartet to jazz band Or we do have a music system in the venue which can be used via an aux cable.

All live music must follow our terms and conditions and not exceed our music limiters.

We have a close relationship with all our neighbours and therefore your band / DJ must respect this. Last orders is 11.45pm and all music must finish at 12AM prompt.

What facilities do you offer?

There is a purpose-built toilet block next to the marquee…the fanciest toilets in the Saddleworth Countryside fully equipped with reed diffusers, candles and toiletry baskets. There are separate male and female toilets all accessed without stepping outside. This also accommodates disabled facilities

The venue offers a fully stocked bar with a wide selection of drinks including any draft beers, and the more conventional wines and spirits.

What games can we play?

The Stables Wedding Farm is a fun venue offering everything from saying ‘I do’ to welly wanging to climbing the hay bales. Perfect for those big kids… and the children.

These can all be discussed in more detail with your wedding coordinator.

Will we have a dedicated Wedding Planner to help throughout the process?

This is an option to discuss, we are here to help.

How long can you hold a date for?

After seeing the venue, if you wish to hold a date provisionally with us, we can do this for 14 days. This gives you the opportunity to speak with the local registrar (if you are wanting to get married with us) and ensure we are the perfect venue for your wedding.

What deposit is required at the point of confirming?

The initial deposit at the point of confirming is £2,000.

Final details must be in place 6 weeks before the wedding with final payment due 1 month prior to the wedding.

We strongly recommend you take out Wedding Insurance when you pay your deposit.

Is the deposit refundable or transferable?

Unfortunately, the deposit is non-refundable / non-transferable. We give you 14 days to ensure the venue is right for you and once we secure the date for you, we will then be refusing any other enquiries for this date.

Can I bring my own catering?

You can either choose to use our own catering services or you can choose to bring your own catering to the venue. Whether it’s a sit- down meal, Hog Roast, BBQ or Ice cream truck, we will do our best to cater for all!

Can we bring our own drinks to the venue?

We do offer a fully licensed premises however if you wanted to bring your own tipple to the venue, a corkage fee will apply.

Guests are not permitted to bring any alcohol onto the farm without our knowledge so no hip flasks, crates in your car or any other containers. Any guests found doing so will be asked to leave and the alcohol will be confiscated.

If there is a particular wine, lager or ale you would like to be available for your guests, please let us know and we do our best to accommodate this for you.

We are a licenced premise and have a strict duty of care to all guests so please adhere to these licensing laws for your own health and safety.

Can I bring a wedding cake?

Absolutely, we will never charge corkage on your wedding cake… we are not that cruel! We do have a cake knife you can use for the cutting however you will need to provide your own cake stand.

We have a table ready inside the marquee for your wedding cake, so it can be displayed all day.

Can we stay at the venue?

Delph Shire: – We have three quaint one bedroom self-contained, grass covered, Hobbit Houses on site. Each with double bed, fitted kitchen, private en-suite and dining tables. There is also a secure outside decking area with a 6-person hot tub and artificial grass area, dedicated to guests. All overlooking a magnificent organic feature Orchard with over 70 varieties of fruit trees, to simply relax, de-stress and enjoy the views.

Can we leave our cars overnight?

Of course, and highly recommended after any wedding!!

Guests are welcome to leave their cars in our car park however this is at their own risk. Collection would need to be before 11:30AM the following day.

Is there a smoking area?

Guests are not permitted to smoke inside the marquee however we have a dedicated smoking area outside.

What happens if it rains / snow?

The marquees are designed to work with all weather conditions. There is enough undercover for your ceremony, drinks reception, meal and evening reception without even setting foot outside.

Can we get married on site?

The Stables Wedding Farm is fully licensed to undertake your legal ceremony on site. This service needs to be booked well in advance with the local authority registrar service, to accommodate your time and date.

However, if you simply want a celebration of your marriage, we have our dedicated celebrant, Toni. She will design your service to suit your specific taste.
